Five Rio Rancho Restaurants garner recognition on New Mexico's Green Chili Cheeseburger Trail 
"No state is more passionate about its burger than New Mexico...The green chile cheeseburger has been a staple on menus here since the middle of the last century," states the New Mexico Tourism Department website.  Well, now a select few Rio Rancho restaurants will share in that history.  Five Rio Rancho favorites made the list of 200 nominees and two made the list of some 4 dozen of the state’s outstanding green chile cheeseburger restaurants, cafes, drive-ins, and joints. 

Local favorite and now statewide favorite Turtle Mountain Brewing Company made the short list along with all Blake's Lotaburger locations.  Among the other nominees were Fat Squirrel Pub & Grille and all Weck's locations.
